Weathering, Erosion, Deposition

In Intergrated we have been learning about weathering, erosion and deposition.

Weathering is when wind or water has broken something down ( e.g. rock ).           Erosion is where wind or water takes it away. Deposition is where it dumps it.

We went for a walk around our school and found these examples:

  1. When it rains the water collects the leaves, then the water and leaves flow down to the gutter.
  2. Then when the gutter over flows it runs down the side of the road to the footpath/grass.
  3. The it runs down the grass, and makes the grass over flow which  leads to the grass dying.

What examples of weathering, erosion and deposition can you see when you go on a walk?
