Today we had a SUPER EXCITING incursion. A lady from Hands On Science came, and we did lots of experiments testing the property of different materials.
My favourite experiment is written below:
Aim: to see which material is the most flammable.
Materials:
- Wool
- Nomex
- Plastic
- Dri-Fit
- Nylon
- Cotton
- Matches
Method:
1. Cut even sizes of each material
2. Light material using a match on at a time
3. Observe what happens
4. Repeat this for each material

I love this post because you explained how to do the experiment really clearly. I like that you put SUPER EXCITING in capitals to show how you were feeling. I oviesley know what happened but I was surprised how quickly some of the materials caught fire. What did you hypothesise?
