CBCA Amazing Nonfiction

In Library this Term we have been judging the CBCA nonfiction shortlisted books.

Every Library session we read two of the books, then had to fill in a sheet and score the visuals, layout and information out of 10 then had to write why we gave the book that score.

We also learnt what makes a great nonfiction book for example: detailed information, clear easy to read writing and clear/detailed photos or drawings.

This is my sheet!

My favourite book was Sorry Day by Coral Vas’s and Dub Leffler because it had amazing illustrations. The illustrations were amazing because they showed so much emotion because they used brighter colours for the happier times and darker colours for the sadder times. I also like how it was two stories in one.

What is your favourite information book and why?
